Legal Implementation
At Federal Level and in the 16 Federal States
Legal Implementation
Due to Germany's federal structure, the legal implementation of the German Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI Germany) requires coordinated legislation. In order to implement the spatial data infrastructure strategy at federal and state level, a total of 17 laws have been enacted or amended at federal level and in all 16 federal states. These laws form the legal basis for the joint handling of spatial data in Germany.
