Publication of the Mid-Term Evaluation Report of the European Environment Agency (EEA) on the Status of the INSPIRE Implementation

Date 2014.11.11

Technical report No. 17/2014 has been published.

The INSPIRE Directive, which came into force in 2007 and is expected to be fully implemented by the year 2020, aims at establishing a European Geodata Infrastructure through the provision of Europe-wide networked data.

The following report analyses the current state of the INSPIRE implementation process. It states that the INSPIRE implementation is fundamentally on the right path and gives the impression that a strategic reorientation would have a positive impact on coordination, networking and common use of the data.
